| People are very generous in December. When supplies dwindle (usually by late January or
early February), the toys are sold so that food can be bought. The children are so disappointed. |
Ruth has followed in her parent's footsteps. She has become the director of El Faro 1.
She lives there with her husband and 5 year old son. |

dozens of mangy, feral dogs roaming it. |

Rancho El Faro
The Director of El Faro became increasingly concerned about
the teenagers in her care being lured by the dangerous influences in
their neighborhood.
During the summer of 2004, Guadalupe secured a parcel of land and
moved the teenagers there. They camped throughout the extremely
wet winter until Orphanage Builders and Valley Christian Church came to their rescue.

Hacienda

In addition to the abandoned children, Hacienda is safe home to 19
battered women and their children. |

Mothers and their children are locked in for their safety as most of them have fled abusive husbands. |

Los Angelitos

| Ed Perry, a former Southern California school teacher used the money
he had saved to travel during his retirement to open
Los Angelitos orphanage. Ed has created a wonderful, loving
atmosphere and the kids in his care are flourishing!
Kids International helped Los Angelitos get started by purchasing a
washing machine and providing food. |
Sister Leti is loved and cherished by the children of Los Angelitos. |
